We are a multidisciplinary team of leading lower limb specialists working in partnership to advise and treat problems to help you get back to what you love doing.

Our specialists understand the complexity of the foots structure, both when you are active and relaxing, so we start with a consultation to diagnose any issues and advise on the most suitable treatments.

For foot or ankle pain, we use the latest technologies, diagnostic tests and imaging to find a direct cause and will discuss the best route to recovery with you.

MS. SUZANNE TAYLOR
FRCPodS, BSc(Hons), DPodM, MCPod

Consultant
Podiatric Surgeon

  • Ms Taylor is a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon working within the NHS and Independent sector.

    She initially qualified as a Podiatrist in 1990 and has been committed to continuous learning to improve patient outcomes throughout her career, undertaking podiatric surgery training through to Completion Certificate in Podiatric Surgical Training (CCPST). She is a Prescriber and annotated as a podiatric surgeon on the regulatory body website, which provides governance and assurance of meeting the 19 standards of podiatrists practising podiatric surgery.

    Her career in Podiatric Medicine exceeds 30 years of working across the local community in London & the south east, Sussex and Kent in both NHS and Private Practice. Ms Taylor currently holds an NHS post as Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at Essex Partnership NHS Trust.

    She undertakes 360 appraisals within her surgical colleagues and patient group, contributing to the Consultant Appraisal Process.

    As a recognised leader in the foot health field, she specialises in extended scope podiatric medicine & podiatric surgery. This covers the foot and associated structures.

    She is also a registered tutor of the Royal College of Podiatry, and as the Royal College Dean of the Faculty of Podiatric Surgery (2017-2021) she takes great pride in coaching and inspiring young people to embark on a career in podiatric surgery.

    Ms Taylor sees adults and children with a wide range of foot problems, including foot & ankle injuries, arthritis affecting the foot, skin lesions, heel pain, bunions, ingrowing toenails, toe problems/ hammer toes, neuroma, and recurring foot pain.

Dr. Claire Botfield
MB BS, FRCA

Consultant
Anaesthetist

  • Dr Botfield is a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Princess Royal University Hospital, part of King’s College NHS Foundation Trust, with dual accreditation in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, having qualified as a doctor in 1990.

    She’s worked as the Lead for Perioperative Medicine, and as the Governance & Patient Safety lead for the Surgery and Anaesthetic care group. She championed the enhanced recovery programme, lead multiple patient safety initiatives and is currently the Departmental Lead for Anaesthesia.

    Trained in all areas of anaesthesia Claire really enjoys working with children, ensuring the process is as stress free and fun as possible.

    Having worked with Miss Taylor for many years Claire really enjoys the atmosphere created by the team in theatre and they collectively appreciate the need to ensure every step of patient and perioperative care is done professionally and kindly.

Dr. Heena Bidd

  • Dr. Bidd is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust specialising in Vascular and Thoracic Anaesthesia.

    In her current role as Clinical Lead in Vascular Anaesthesia, she is involved in improving patient care from an experience and safety perspective.

    Heena has a passion for improving the quality of care for high risk patients in surgery and she also leads quality improvement projects related to vascular patients. Much of this work involves providing either general (asleep) or regional anaesthesia (nerve blocks) for foot surgery ensuring patients are safe and comfortable in the peri operative period.

    Known and worked with Miss Taylor for nearly a decade they have built a great working relationship with a mutual understanding of the importance of excellent communication and team work to provide the best care for the patients.
